nexbim.org

Art, music and craft, amplified.

Nexbim.org is a non-profit that puts artificial intelligence in the hands of artists, musicians and makers — working with leading educational institutions around the world so that technology serves human creativity, never the other way round.

Sweep across the strings

Our mission

We believe intelligence — human and artificial — is at its best when it creates. Our work is to make that collaboration open, ethical and available to everyone.

We research, teach and build open tools that let painters, composers, performers, designers and artisans explore what AI can add to their practice — while keeping authorship, cultural heritage and the craft itself at the centre.

Everything we develop is shared with schools, conservatories and communities at no cost. We are a non-profit: our only return is a richer, more diverse creative culture.

How we work

Four ways we bring AI into the studio

Each programme is designed together with educators and artists, and everything it produces is published openly.

Open creative labs

Hands-on labs hosted with partner schools, where students and artists experiment with AI tools alongside traditional ones.

Educator toolkits

Free curricula, lesson plans and guides that help teachers bring AI into art, music and craft classrooms responsibly.

Artist fellowships

Residencies that give artists time, mentorship and computing resources to develop work at the edge of art and AI.

Open research

Studies on creativity, authorship and learning with AI, released as open publications, datasets and code.

Partners

Working with leading institutions worldwide

Nexbim.org collaborates with prestigious universities, conservatories, art schools and cultural institutions around the world. Together we design programmes, share research and open our tools to students and teachers.

We are a non-profit organisation. Our partnerships are built on shared purpose, not commercial interest: knowledge we create together stays open and returns to the community.

Principles

What guides every project

Artists remain the authors

AI is an instrument. The vision, the choices and the credit belong to the people who make the work.

Consent and attribution

We only work with data that creators have agreed to share, and we credit the sources that make our tools possible.

Open knowledge

Our curricula, research and software are published openly so any school, anywhere, can use and improve them.

Access for everyone

Creativity should not depend on budget or geography. We prioritise communities and institutions with fewer resources.

A letter from our CEO

MÁU
Manuel Álvarez UsecheCEO & Founder, Nexbim.org
“Technology has always changed the way we create. Our task is to make sure it also widens who gets to create.”

Dear friends,

Welcome to Nexbim.org. We were born from a simple conviction: artificial intelligence can be one of the most powerful creative instruments humanity has ever had — if we learn to play it with care, with ethics and together.

Every great leap in art has come with a new tool: the pigment, the printing press, the piano, the camera, the computer. AI is the next one. But a tool alone does not create culture. People do — teachers who inspire, students who dare, artists and artisans who keep centuries of knowledge alive in their hands.

That is why we work hand in hand with prestigious educational institutions around the world, as a non-profit organisation. We do not sell anything. We share research, open tools and programmes so that a music student in Bogotá, a ceramicist in Kyoto or a painting class in Madrid can explore the same possibilities.

I invite you — educator, artist, researcher or simply curious — to join us. Let us build a future in which technology amplifies human creativity instead of replacing it.

With gratitude and enthusiasm,

Manuel Álvarez UsecheCEO, Nexbim.org
